Dirk M. Thompson Mortuary has served Catawba County (Hickory, Newton, Conover, Catawba, Sherrills Ford), Burke, Caldwell, Alexander, Iredell, Lincoln, and Cabarrus counties in North Carolina for more than 26 years. Sole owner, licensed Funeral Director, and Embalmer Dirk M. Thompson has served families with pride and compassion for more than 40 years. We remain one of the few family-owned businesses of this nature in Catawba County. Our motto is “My family serving your family at the time of sudden need”.

Our staff are professionally trained and committed to assisting you and your family with compassionate care that is honest and full of integrity. Care is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We offer pre-planning/pre-arranging services to assist your family before death occurs. We offer referrals to qualified grief counselors to assist you with aftercare. We offer burial and life insurance through a licensed agent. We provide educational seminars about funeral service, insurance, and various other topics. Our professional service is extended to multicultural and ethnic cultures of all faiths and religious backgrounds.
